Abigail Simmonds (b.1970) lives/works in Glasgow.  Simmonds repurposes objects and the universe of things, transforming them with the meticulous application of sequins. Her practice references psychoanalysis, in particular the transference and attachment of meaning on objects,  lifting of material out of the everyday and giving them additional objecthood.
